History of American Legacy Academy - LDS Private School Learning
Alan and Karen Bohrer are the founders of American Legacy Academy. With a life-long love of learning and teaching, Karen launched American Legacy Academy in September 2005. With a small start and a big dream she began, and hasn't looked back. Devoted teachers and families who share her dream have supported the school as it has grown. Starting with only 14 students in kindergarten and 1st grade, it has now grown to over 60 students, from Kindergarten Prep through the 5th grade. The 2010-11 school year will be open to applicants entering preschool through 6th grade.
An active P.T.O. and a Board of Directors serve as a great support to the school. Individuals and businesses also support the school with significant donations and other contributions, enhancing it's success. American Legacy Academy is established as a 501(c)3.
In the summer of 2007, the building and grounds were given an "extreme makeover" by local business. When school began that fall, Dr. Stephen R. Covey addressed the parents and children of American Legacy Academy and at the conclusion of his very profound message, he gave the dedicatory prayer upon the building and grounds. American Legacy Academy continues to grow in the spirit and manifestaion of that blessing and we express our gratitude to our Heavely Father as we recognize His hand in our endeavor.
