Celise McRae Bergener was born and raised in Safford, AZ.  She comes from a very close and large family of four brothers, and four sisters, and a lot of extended family.  She and her husband Justin were married in the Mesa Arizona Temple. He is finishing his schooling at BYU and working as a real estate agent. 

Education and Experience

She attended Arizona State University in Elementary Education. Her student teaching was done in Draper, UT. 
She maintained a 4.0+ in her education program, graduating 4th in her class. She has experience working with children in various capacities. Children have always been a great motivating factor in her life and she is very excited to start teach at American Legacy Academy! As she became immersed in our curriculum this summer she commented that she “always felt there was something missing in the public schools and now she knows what it is!”  She participated in our summer training as she shared her love of literature and writing and instructed us in methods of implementing guided reading groups.

Interests and Activities

She and her husband live in Provo.  They serve as Ward Missionaries in their ward. They enjoy playing tennis, hiking, camping, riding horses, and swimming. She also enjoys scrap booking, gardening, and traveling (recently returning from a 5 month trip to Australia). Her favorite pastime is learning new things and self improvement.
